PARKING IN NENAGH
Nenagh Town Council are please to announce from the 2nd February, 2013 the operation of free parking in the following Car Parks:- Abbey Street Car Park, Friar Street Car Park, John's Place Car Park, O' Rahilly Street Car Park, Scouts Hall Car Park, Courthouse Car Park, John's Lane Car Park, Kenyon Street Car Park, Railway Station Car Park.
There is also free on street parking from 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. Normal pay parking applies as follows: On street from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., public car parks from 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Pay & Display parking is in operation.. This system allows for more flexibility in payment for parking, particularly for short periods of time. For a payment of 0.40c it will be possible to purchase parking for one half hour in a street disc parking area. Parking in a off-street car park is €0.50c for one hour. Patrons should note that there is no facility for issuing change so the correct amount should be tendered. Extra payment time will be allowed in respect of additional money paid, up to the maximum time permitted in the parking zone involved.
Machines will accept coins in the following denominations - €2, €1, 50c, 20c, 10c & 5c. They will not accept 2c or 1c.
The following are the Rate Applicable in the Various Parking Zones:
- 40c - half an hour on street
- 75c - one hour on street
- 75c - 2 hour on street disc parking areas in Sarsfield upper, Pound Road, Ashe Road (Scouts Hall) and Stafford Street
- €2.40 - all day parking in Railway Station
- €2.50 - all day parking on Church Road/Flannan Street
- €3.00 - all day parking in Johns Lane Carpark, Johns Place Carpark, Scouts Hall, Courthouse Carpark, O' Rahilly Street Carpark
The following car parks are 4 hours (maximum stay) €2.00 / €0.50c per hour:
- Kenyon Street Carpark
- Friar Street Carpark
- Abbey Street Carpark
Please note that discs are only valid for parking Zone in which they are purchased e.g. discs purchased in an off-street car park are NOT VALID for on street parking. The penalty for non display of a valid Disc is €40.00

Residents permits are available from Nenagh Town Council to individuals who live within a disc parking zone.
