15th May 2013:  Nenagh Heritage Centre - Applications are invited by Nenagh Heritage Centre for the post of Temporary Tour Guide/Information Officer

Temporary part-time 12 Month Contract - 25 hour week

Each candidate shall have:-

Relevant work experience, Good communication skills, Good team working ability, Heritage awareness.

14th May 2013:  Carpark Closure - John's Lane Car Park

Please note John's Lane Car Park will be closed to facilitate the An Post Rás Cycle race on Monday 20th May, 2013.  All cars must be moved from this car park by 8.00 a.m. on Monday 20th May, 2013.

14th May 2013:  Roads Department - Road Strengthening & Resurfacing Programme

Nenagh Town Council wish to advise that works will be carried out at the following locations for short periods between the 4th June and 30th August, 2013 to facilitate the Council's road strengthening and resurfacing programme in Nenagh Town.

Diversion routes will be advised at the time of works.

2nd May 2013:  Painting Scheme 2013 - MacDonagh Street, Nenagh

Nenagh Town Council is committed to supporting and improving MacDonagh Street as an integral part of Nenagh's Public Realm.  As MacDonagh Street is a key approach road to the town the Town Council is delighted to introduce a Painting Grant Scheme which aims to support and encourage individuals and communities to invest in buildings to enhance and character and appearance of areas and to reinforce local pride in the area for residents, business and visitors.

10th April 2013:  Sponsorship of Fitness Equipment at Nenagh Town Park

Nenagh Town Council invites local companies/organisations/individuals to sponsor items of fitness equipment for the new Town Park.  To view details on fitness equipment & cost please click on the following:- Fitness Equipment List.pdf

All sponsors will be acknowledged on a sponsor's plate which will be placed beside each item of fitness equipment.  Proposals for sponsorship should be submitted to the Town Clerk, Nenagh Town Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh

25th March 2013:  Surveying of Domestic Water Connections

The surveying of Domestic Properties for the purpose of water metering has commenced in North Tipperary.  They Surveying of stop taps and boundary boxes in advance of the installation of water meters is currently taking place in North Tipperary.  This will take place at various locations on different days of the week.

Surveyors will carry official North Tipperary County Council identification.  If a member of the public is in doubt about the identity of a person claiming to be from North Tipperary County Council, request to see their official identification.  If you still have a query or doubt that the person is representing North Tipperary County Council, you can contact 067-44829 for clarification.  See the information note regarding this national survey

7th February 2013:  Castle Park Bye-Laws

Bye-Laws for the use, operation, protection and management of the Castle Park were passed by Nenagh Town Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 199 of the Local Government Act, 2001, at the January Monthly Meeting of Nenagh Town Council, held on Monday 28th January, 2013.

The Bye-Laws come into force as of 8.30 a.m. on Monday 1st April, 2013.

The Bye-Laws may be inspected free of charge between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, at the offices of Nenagh Town Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh.  Copies may be purchased for a nominal fee of €1.00

22nd January 2013:  Saturday Free Car Parks

Nenagh Town Council are pleased to announce from 2nd February, 2013 the operation of free parking in the following Car Parks:-  Abbey Street Car Park, Friar Street Car Park, John's Place Car Park, O' Rahilly Street Car Park, Scouts Hall Car Park, Courthouse Car Park, John's Lane Car Park, Kenyon Street Car Park, Railway Station Car Park.

Please note that free Saturday parking DOES NOT apply to on-street parking.

26th June 2012:  New Mayor for Nenagh Town

At the Annual Meeting of Nenagh Town Council held on Monday 25th June, 2012, Cllr. Lalor McGee was elected as Mayor of Nenagh Town for 2012/2013.  Cllr. Tom Mulqueen was elected as Deputy Mayor. Cllr. McGee takes over the position of Mayor from Cllr. Virginia O' Dowd.

10th Feb 2012:  Free On Street Parking 8.30-10.00 a.m.

Nenagh Town Council are pleased to announce free on street parking from 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. from Monday 20th February, 2012.  Normal pay parking applies as follows:- On Street from 10.00a.m to 6.30p.m., Public Car Parks from 8.30a.m. to 6.30p.m.
